OREAS 238c
SKU: 238c
OREAS 238c is prepared from a blend of Fosterville high-grade ore and barren
hornfels–metasedimentary units sourced from multiple deposits across Victoria.
The primary gold-bearing component is sourced from the world-class
Fosterville Gold Mine, located approximately 20 km east of Bendigo in central
Victoria. Gold mineralisation at Fosterville occurs as disseminated arsenopyrite
and pyrite in quartz–carbonate veinlet stockworks, with additional visible gold
developed as fine specks and vein-hosted accumulations associated with
stibnite-rich (Sb) mineralisation.
The barren fraction comprises a large proportion of Tulla hornfels, Geosoil
basalt, and minor Stawell Au quartz–sulphide ore, all milled to high uniformity.
These materials represent metamorphosed turbidites, hornfelsed sediments, and
basaltic units typical of the Victorian goldfields, providing a robust and
geologically compatible host matrix.
OREAS 238c has been characterized using the following methods:
Gold by Pb collection fire assay (25-50g charge weight) with AAS and
ICP-OES finish
Gold by Bi collection fire assay (30 g charge weight) with AAS finish
Gold by PhotonAssay™
Gold by 15-50g aqua regia digestion with ICP-MS and AAS finish
Gold by cyanide leach (20-200g) with AAS or ICP-MS finish
Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by 4-acid (HNO3-HF-HClO4-HCl)
digestion
Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by aqua regia digestion
Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each
method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of
accreditation.
