(CRM), Ore Research & Exploration Pty Ltd. tarafından hazırlanmış ve sertifikalandırılmıştır. OREAS
682, kısır gabro-norit ile karıştırılmış PGE cevherlerinden hazırlanmıştır. PGE
cevherleri, Güney Afrika'daki Anglo American Platinum'a ait ve işletmekte olduğu
sahalardan, Bushveld Kompleksi'nin Merensky Resifi ve Merensky Resifi'nin taban
duvarından temin edilmiştir. Bir pegmatitik piroksenit ana kayasında ekonomik öneme
sahip yaygın mineraller, demir, nikel, bakır sülfitleri ve PGE alaşımlarıdır. Kısır
gabro-norit, Avustralya'nın Adelaide şehrinin 85km doğusunda bulunan Geç Kambriyen
Black Hill Norit Kompleksi'nden temin edilmiştir. OREAS 682, 4E konsantrasyonları
(4E = 4 element; platin (Pt), paladyum (Pd), rodyum (Rh) ve altın (Au)) 0.82
ila 6.1 ppm arasında değişen beş PGE cevheri CRM serisinden biridir.
