OREAS 926, on altı bakır cevheri CRM (OREAS 920'den OREAS
935'e kadar) serisinden biridir ve Avustralya'nın orta batı New South Wales eyaletindeki Cobar kasabası yakınlarında bulunan CSA madeninden elde edilen malzemeden hazırlanmıştır. Bakır cevheri yatağı, ince tabakalı, karbonlu silttaşları ve çamurtaşı içeren, küçük taneli birimler içeren turbiditik bir sekans olan Erken Devoniyen CSA Silttaşı içinde yer almaktadır. CSA Silttaşı, alt sin-rift sedimanları ve üst post-rift sag faz sedimanlarından oluşan Cobar Süpergrubu'nun bir parçasıdır. Mineralizasyon yapısal olarak kontrol edilir ve Erken Devoniyen Cobar Havzası'nın doğu kenarındaki büyük bir fay zonu içinde, eğimli birçok gövdeyle sınırlıdır. Düşük dereceli yeşilşist alterasyonu ve damar komplekslerinin veya yarı masif ila masif sülfürlerin daha yüksek dereceli filonlarını saran epijenetik düşük dereceli mineralizasyon ile karakterize edilir. Sülfürler arasında kalkopirit, pirotit, pirit, sfalerit, galenit, bornit ve cubanit bulunur. Demir açısından zengin klorit ve silika, silttaşı konak kayadaki belirgin alterasyonlardır.
Aşağıda rapor edilen analitleri karakterize etmek için yirmi iki ticari analiz laboratuvarı programa katılmıştır. Yönteme özgü sertifikasyon için aşağıdaki yöntemler kullanılmıştır:

ICP-OES, ICP-MS veya AAS bitişli dört asit (HCl-HNO3-HF-HClO4) ayrıştırması (19 laboratuvar);
ICP-OES, ICP-MS veya AAS bitişli aqua regia ayrıştırması (19 laboratuvar);

ICP-OES, ICP-MS veya AAS bitişli peroksit füzyonu (12
laboratuvar).
