OREAS 601d
SKU: 601d
OREAS 601d was prepared from a blend of silver-copper-gold bearing ores from
Evolution Mining’s Mount Carlton Operation in Queensland, Australia and barren
rhyodacite rock sourced from a quarry east of Melbourne, Australia. A small
quantity of copper-gold-silver concentrate (Mount Carlton) was added to help
achieve the desired grades.
The mineralisation assemblage at Mount Carlton consists of pyrite,
enargite/tennantite, tetrahedrite, digenite, covellite, sphalerite, galena,
alunite, dickite, kaolinite and vuggy silica, hosted in argillic altered
rhyodacite containing sulphur-salts.
The certification program includes:
Au by fire assay with AAS or ICP-OES finish;
Au by aqua regia digestion with AAS or ICP-MS finish;
Full elemental suites by 4-acid digestion with ICP-OES/MS finish,
over range Cu by ore-grade digestion;
Full elemental suites by aqua regia digestion with ICP-OES/MS finish,
over range Cu by ore-grade digestion;
Total S by Infrared combustion furnace;
Au by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) on 20 x 85 mg
subsamples to confirm homogeneity (ANSTO, Lucas Heights).
Indicative values for Sulphate Sulphur and Sulphide Sulphur (among others)
are also available.
