OREAS 613

OREAS 613 is a certified reference material prepared from a rhyodacite host
blended with Ag-rich ore from Bowdens, silver concentrate, and Cu–Au
concentrates from Mt Carlton and DeGrussa with a minor high-Au component from
Cerro Moro.
The blend replicates a felsic volcanic host carrying epithermal Ag–Au
mineralisation with added Cu-sulfide tenor, making it well-suited for
calibration and routine QA/QC of multi-element geochemical methods (e.g., fire
assay for Au/Ag, multi-acid digestion ICP-OES/MS for base metals) across
exploration and metallurgical programs.
OREAS 613 has been characterized using the following methods:
Gold via 25-50g fire assay with AAS or ICP-OES finish
Silver via 25-50g fire assay with Gravimetric finish
Gold via 10-40g aqua regia digestion with ICP-MS finish or AAS finish
Sulphur by infra-red combustion analysis
4-Acid digestion for full elemental suite ICP-OES/MS finish
Aqua regia digestion for full elemental suite ICP-OES finish or AAS
finish
Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each
method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of
accreditation.
