OREAS 612
SKU: 612
OREAS 612 is a certified reference material produced from a rhyodacite host
blended with Ag–Pb–Zn ores from the Bowdens deposit, a Pb–Zn concentrate, and a
minor Au-bearing component from Frogs Leg.
The matrix reflects felsic volcanic host rocks carrying Ag–Pb–Zn
mineralisation with trace Au, making OREAS 612 well-suited for calibration and
quality control of multi-element geochemical methods used in exploration
geochemistry, routine lab QA/QC, and metallurgical programs where both precious
and base metals are monitored.
OREAS 612 has been characterized using the following methods:
Gold via low level, 25-50g fire assay with AAS or ICP-OES finish
Gold by aqua regia digestion (10-50g sample weight) with ICP-OES, ICP-MS
or AAS finish
Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by 4-acid (HNO3-HF-HClO4-HCl)
digestion
Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by aqua regia digestion
Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each
method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of
accreditation.
