The principal PGE component \u003cbr\u003e\r\nwas sourced from the Dishaba Mine (Limpopo Province, South Africa), a well-known \u003cbr\u003e\r\noperation on the western limb of the Bushveld Igneous Complex characterised by \u003cbr\u003e\r\nMerensky and UG2 reef mineralisation hosting platinum, palladium, rhodium and \u003cbr\u003e\r\ngold in sulphide and alloy phases.\u003cbr\u003e\r\nNickel contributions were derived from high-grade Ni sulphide ores from the \u003cbr\u003e\r\nBHP Leinster and Xstrata Cosmos deposits, both hosted within komatiitic \u003cbr\u003e\r\nultramafic sequences of the Agnew–Wiluna greenstone belt (Western Australia). \u003cbr\u003e\r\nCopper was introduced using DeGrussa and Cobar high-grade Cu concentrates from \u003cbr\u003e\r\nWestern Australia and New South Wales, respectively.
