The copper ore body is \u003cbr\u003e\r\nhosted by the Early Devonian CSA Siltstone, a thinly bedded turbiditic sequence \u003cbr\u003e\r\nof carbonaceous siltstones and mudstones with minor coarser units. The CSA \u003cbr\u003e\r\nSiltstone is part of the Cobar Supergroup, consisting of lower syn-rift \u003cbr\u003e\r\nsediments and upper post-rift sag phase sediments. The mineralisation is \u003cbr\u003e\r\nstructurally controlled and confined to a number of steeply dipping bodies \u003cbr\u003e\r\nwithin a major shear zone on the eastern margin of the Early Devonian Cobar \u003cbr\u003e\r\nBasin. It is characterised by low-grade greenschist alteration and epigenetic \u003cbr\u003e\r\nlow-grade mineralisation enveloping higher-grade shoots of vein complexes or \u003cbr\u003e\r\nsub-massive to massive sulphides. The sulphides include chalcopyrite, \u003cbr\u003e\r\npyrrhotite, pyrite, sphalerite, galena, bornite and cubanite.
